A few days ago, I had a chat with Sarah Fung of Hula, a secondhand designer consignment clothing retailer based in Hong Kong. If you have followed my videos or posts, you might know that I am a big fan of secondhand fashion as a way to express yourself with stylish fashion while causing minimal impact on the planet.
I visited her 4,000 sq ft warehouse space in Wong Chuk Hang, and we talked about her path leading up to starting Hula, how she funded her business, ups and downs on her journey, as well as how sustainability plays a big part in what she does.
For anyone interested in sustainability within the fashion industry or thinking about starting their own business, there are some GREAT gems in this chat to learn from. For everyone else, it’s an intriguing story about how Sarah turned a problem that needs to be solved into a business and something she is passionate about working on every day.
